Lol at the “Can he shoot a three?” comment. But also the “You don’t work hard” comment I love it.
He’s DeAndre Hunter without the 3pt shot at this time. Developing 3pt shot. But he can create and score in iso in the midrange and driving from the perimeter like Hunter.
Very torn. I love the interior finishing and am intrigued by him showing a little self-creation. But also we have a lot of forwards already who don’t have enough wing in their game? But maybe they’ve learned from the Leon Bond experience that Ward would need to be on a wing skills developmental plan from day 1?
If Bond had had a couple more inches and a few more pounds, he might have had significantly more PT last year, and might have been in Charlottesville this summer getting ready for next year. Maybe.
@HoozGotNext! I am just a little bit curious. No one other than LRA (via his tweet) appears to be reporting Virginia’s offer to Matthew Able. Can you shed any light? Thanks.
Edit: VerbalCommits is also reporting it, but, so far, that’s the only other source I can find.
UVA 247 and Rivals do not coverage basketball recruiting to the extent they report every offer. The Sabre not at all. Not sure who else you would be expecting to report it.
As much as I like to make fun of them for their “algorithm,” I tend to look at their recruiting database pages more often than their competitors at this point.
“It was really hard for my brothers, and it was really hard for my mom (Margaret),” Jack said. “The fans, they were especially tough on Connor, because a lot of people don’t understand how he affects a basketball game. So that was part of it. He’s a coach on the floor, the all-time wins leader. I don’t know …
“I saw that, and I didn’t like that. I just wanted to try something different.”
this is also such an absurd statement/approach from the prosecutor.
“Prosecutors argued that despite the mail truck possibly obstructing his view Jack McCaffery was still guilty under the letter of the law which requires that drivers yield to pedestrians even if they don’t know they are there.”
I think the intent is that if you’re unsure if there’s someone in a crosswalk, then you abstain from going there until you can see clearly that everything is safe.
Effectively, you yield to the potential of pedestrians. Schrodinger’s pedestrians, if you will.
