Does homecoming matter at other schools? And has it always not mattered at UVA or is this a consequence of how bad the football program has been for the last 20 years?

Also, I can’t ever remember Homecoming mattering at UVa. Maybe it mattered for various groups, but none I was ever in.
Also calling it homecomings (plural) for no particular good reason was a very UVa thing to do. #itsacampus #thisisntgolf

Yeah I was going to say the YAR stuff (when my class qualified) did a good job of bringing folks in. Some of that is expected though due to age and whatnot.
I don’t understand why UVA reunion weekends are always in the summer. Don’t most schools do big tailgate weekends?

I know it was very popular last year after the Covid restrictions. And do the hotel situation I assume it was quite popular this year.
TBH I wouldn’t expect most YAR attendees to stay in hotels. At least my first 3 years out of school there was always a friendly couch to crash on.

If, big IF, we win today, there’s a possible road to a bowl game. Win @GT, win @VT and win 1 of the 4 home games vs CCU, Pitt, UNC or Miami.
Lose today and I think the team quits trying and we lose out.
