Funny how i think Keels made the right move going pro and Timme made the wrongnmovw coming back. And basically for the same reason. Keels was doubtful to improve his stock more 9n a 2nd yr at Duke. Now he’s young enough to be a project and his flaws haven’t been exposed. Meanwhile. I thought Timme should have left with Kispert 2 yrs ago. I dont see him raising his draft stock. If anything I’d argue it’s slipping

It’ll definitely slip after next year… from a league perspective, it’s better to get drafted when you’re younger. But Timme doesn’t have any NBA upside tho, he’ll play in Europe.

Timme couldn’t hang defensively at the NBA level even if his offensive game translates.
I think he realizes he’s looking at a Kyle Guy NBA/G-League career and would rather make the NIL and then head off to Europe in a year.
Edit: maybe I’m wrong here. i just don’t think in any world you run it back to college if you had a first round or early second round grade at his age.

Granted it’s a multi-year deal, but 30th pick money is around $1.6MM. Could see Timme making that in nil next year, while enjoying college and contending for a natty.

I wonder if we see Timme shooting more from 3 this season. I saw in some articles that he was taking them in the NBA combine scrimmages, and he’ll probably have more leeway to shoot a bunch of them in a senior college season where he’s the star player on the team vs being on the end of a NBA bench or G-League.

I mean personally I agree but it depends on context. If a team doesn’t plan on seriously competing for another 2 years, why not take a swing, bring him in now and give him access to better development program than he would have at FSU? To me his ceiling is higher than just about any guy you’re gonna grab in the 2nd round
