Hoos Going Pro 2022-23 NBA Season

Yeah, I can’t confirm the salary for Summer League but seems to indicate that?

Although NBA minimum is 953k last year so that equals out to something like $280k to make it through training camp which seems really high.

The non roster summer league guys seem to be making around $8k or so as part of summer league.

Not bad for few weeks of work and a showcase to foreign scouts … that’s a big part of the summer league for the non roster guys - scouts there from every league around the globe

Plus meal comps, accommodations and I’m sure a bunch of other extras and events

The NBA has also released the schedule for the NBA 2K Summer League. The Vegas showcase runs from July 7th to 17th with all thirty teams participating in five games at the Thomas & Mack Center and neighboring Cox Pavilion

More tremendous ESPN draft night coverage … hilarious

Terq not being drafted is a little surprising, but his shooting numbers were meh, and what is he really giving you outside of that? Hollinger called him a worse version of Bones Hyland, which seems fair. The other guys are classic cases of being a productive player but not having a valuable NBA archetype to fit into.

I have a 14yo and 16yo too! And yeah, they think just about everything’s “cringe.” Especially their old man. That guy is such an embarrassment.

Anyone watched any of the Victor Wembenyama highlights? When outside the paint he fades away on all his shots and his threes are one footed… so weird…

When you are 7’4 with an 8’0 wingspan you have to be crafty and fade away. Can’t risk getting blocked.

Someone talked about his fingers a while back. They’re like 6” long.

If his hands are that long and he can hit threes and free throws then there is/was no excuse for Shaq and company who could not.

Some interesting numbers: 2018 NBA Draft: 17 of 30 players drafted in 2nd round are out of the league. 2019 NBA Draft: 17 of 30 players drafted in 2nd round are out of the league. 2020 NBA Draft: 18 of 30 players drafted in 2nd round are out of the league.

Hawks looking to move PF John Collins to the Jazz for Rudy Gay and a pick. Would give the Hawks a ton of cap space, get them bellow the luxury tax. Also frees up space and minutes for Dre as well.

ESPN Sources: The Hawks are finalizing a trade to send F/C John Collins to the Jazz for Rudy Gay and a future second-round pick. Atlanta’s largely unloading Collins’ three years, $78M for some roster building flexibility and alignment with looming changes to salary cap.

Seen a lot of Mavs, Lakers, Suns, and Pistons accounts tweeting about DeAndre Hunter trades.

Think Hawks moving Collins put them under the salary tax so dont think Hawks need to clear any more salary. But I do want Hunter as far away as possible from Trey Young.
