Jay Huff is currently averaging 4.4 blocks per game (twice as many as the No. 2 guy) this season in the G League for the South Bay Lakers. At this pace, it’ll be the highest single-season mark in league history. He’s averaging 15 ppg, 7 rpg to go along with the blocks.

It’s cool that Jay is out in LA living it up a bit, but the Lakers need to play him or Trade him. He should be on an NBA bench somewhere. He needs to get Ty Jerome’s agent.

More seriously, man defensive stance fundamentals have come a long way since then. Horrible defensive footwork. And that one guy putting all his body weight into the armin the back was just asking to get spun around. Tony Bennett would have died midgame.

Larry Bird was nasty. The arguments about which generation was better are pretty tired but I will say current players have to hit much much harder shots most of the time.
