Team USA down 9 to Lithuania. last game of group stage I believe and USA already moving on but still. 8 minutes left in 4th
Also interesting that FIBA has two group phases essentially.
And they combine the results of them, which is super weird to me. At least if read the rules right.
Used to be a more common format. Believe UEFA champions league did something similar originally. US Miracle on Ice team won their gold with a similar two group phases format (not sure if itās commonly remembered the win over the Soviets wasnāt the final)
I think the big advantage is that the quarterfinal selection and seeding is much improved compared to going groups ā single elimination round of 16 ā quarter finals. Does take an extra game though.
Looks like Tobeyās fiba run may be coming to a close. Canada up on slovenia 16pt in the 4th quarter. Also man Kelly Olynek and Dillion Brooks are one hell of a hate-able duo. Brooks just got ejected
Ooof Luka gets his 2nd T and gets ejected too.
Olynek looks like a Gonzaga reject and or poster boy
Edit: oh shit he is a Zag
Olynyk / Barrett / Brooks is a pretty unlikable trio. I like Norman Powell tho.
Hope the US beats em
They Canadian?
Crush 'em

Got Germany first. The Wagner bros, Dennis Schroder, Daniel Theis, and some college ball deep cuts in Maodo Lo and Niels Giffey.
Franz doesnāt bother me, but I donāt like Mo
Buncha degens.
Thatās a Texas size 10-4
Dwight Powell?
Thatās what I get for looking at the box score quick. Okay, so thereās nothing redeeming about that team
Iām fully onboard with this now. Though Theis might be bothering me the most.
Damn, forgot about the game
Germany up 9 on USA late third. Would be interesting if Team USA doesnt even medal
Them boys can shoot it
