I’ve seen speculation they literally could not find an Alabama law they can charge him under. Would explain why the DA presser was so weird

It will be interesting to see if the family of the decedent pursues tort liability against Miller; obviously it could look like a shakedown with the NBA bag he has coming but also would assume it will be much easier to prove tort claims than criminal
But also I know nothing of Alabama tort law

My assumption as well has been that he’ll just get nailed with a civil suit sometime after the criminal trial is done. Much lower burden of proof and standard of culpability. Then probably settles out of court.

Next chance I get to talk to my youngest I’ll ask him his take. He’s a criminal defense attorney down in Miami. I realize state laws are different but I’m struggling to believe the kid isn’t an accessory in this case.

I think some of the stories regarding police behavior are just as bad as the criminal behavior.

Imma ask my people in Fayetteville TN on this one. 10 minutes from the Bama border. They have definitely done big cases there… shit he may be defense attorney for this one
