In-season Basketball Recruiting 2022-2023

I’m sure there were a ton of NBA scouts in Vegas this weekend, and they saw Reece be the star of the show.

Reece is not gonna be a secret to NBA scouts, especially now that he’s hitting 3’s at a consistent clip. The ball handling, vision, speed, and defense have been there since day one, the question was always gonna be whether or not he can shoot it at a high enough level.

Needs to get better midrange and believe it or not, tighten his handle up

I think tightening his handle up specifically on straight line drives. He’s extremely steady when running the offense on the perimeter and coming off screens, but at times can get a bit sloppy when going ISO.

Was kinda sloppy in first half on the perimeter today and at times vs Baylor. But I am his biggest fan just needs to tighten up and get cleaner at times

Reece should demand that any team that drafts him must also pick up Kihei just to keep the Reece/Kihei debate going.

True, Reece needs to get a bit better at the rim and find a mid range, a floater, something. He’s very close though

Reece leads the country in blow by moves ending in rim outs. He leaves like 2 to 6 ppg on the board there

There is a reality where McKneely is our only returning guard for next year. A LOT of Dunn at the 3 Im assuming.

Also Tony hitting up Elliot Cadeau with the “You will get 40 minutes a night dominating the ACC for 2-3 years if you reclass to 2023 like you are rumored to do so”.

Cadeau seems to be tight with Gertrude and Dunn on social media.

I got a feeling we’re gonna be just fine going forward this year and in the future. Tony is about to absolutely annihilate the ACC over the next several years.

The pace of play criticism has been annihilated with these two games.

For real. We could lose 3 starters and our top bench option and have a higher ceiling next year. I don’t think we’ll be better but we do have guys I couldn’t be more excited to see.

Armaan could come back I suppose but I tend to think he won’t

I feel like Armaan could continue to play his way to a paycheck with one more year

Armaan is already playing someone who can get picked up as a free agent if not a draft pick in the 40-60 range.

I dont see where-else he has to improve greatly that would come only with an additional year of college. He’s going to take the opportunity next summer even if it’s a two way I feel.

Lord, just getting excited about this season. You gotta stop talking about early departures.

If Kentucky finally gets rid of Calipari, Reed Sheppard Watch is going to be it’s own thing.

I think if that were the case, Tony would have no problem getting a big time transfer in. Guy has been a boss in the portal.

With NIL it’s different though. We struck out big time this summer/the only kid we could get is one named after the coach’s dad. I have no doubt we can get a solid role player off the bench in the portal but that’s not we need at the pg spot with no other pgs outside converting Gertrude right away into a pg.

Edit: I will add let’s see if the NIL market tones down a bit. To where the amounts being thrown out isn’t as big a persuasion between choosing a winning program and an okay program.
