Apparently Cam Willy got some playing time, which is cool because it was a close game and he’s still an 8th grader.
Let him swim in the James River he’ll be the fastest swimmer in the world #MoveTheAquaticCenter
Is Kyle Getter going to be our next Bill Self?
I love pro-insight… but these eye catcher lists… “Here are some kids that stood out”: proceeds to list half of the kids at the damn event
Like nah, pick 5 and tell the rest to show out tomorrow if they want to be honored.

I missed reading Tugard’s posts so I started following him on Twitter. He talks in rebuses, and you need a codebook to understand what he’s saying sometimes. But he’s certainly not short on opinions, and apparently he’s very high on Sharma. I agree that Sharma is going to surprise a lot of people.
shoot N score was my favorite toy growing up
FACTS! Sometines Tu tweets at me kinda prodding me on these things. I love a dude with an opinion
Hope he’s right.
A 6’5 elite shooter is a nice piece even if there is a perception he isn’t overly athletic.
The day 1 starter part is interesting to me. If the reports about him being a capable athlete but not a superior one are true, then the current comp I would have for him in terms of “how do we get him on the court” is Jake Groves. Will we have a “Dunn” that can cover for him the way Ryan does for Jake (with the caveat that guard rotations are very different than wing rotations)?
I read it wrong the first read as well… but he did not say “Day 1 Starter”… he said “Starter 1 Day”.
I hate using the term “athletic” because you don’t play D1 basketball if you’re not an athlete, and being able to shoot is certainly an athletic skill. But if we’re using it as shorthand for someone who isn’t quick and doesn’t jump high, why not make the comp Joe Harris?
Joe Harris was very athletic
Sharma is a 6-5 Hunter Cattoor… very athletic for what his role is … and take a look at his older brother at a couple years older for a peek into what Sharma will look like as a sophomore.
Cattoor never shot below 40% from 3 his first 4 years. But i think Sharma has a chance to have a lot more variety to his repertoire with his size and strength.
I like this comparison and would take that level of production all day.
i would compare to Woldo
Sharma is one of those guys you guide to low-mid major first then wink and tell him you may have a spot in a year…
That’s like the Bizarro World version of redshirting. Dying to see how the board feels about farm teaming on the sly.
