Barca’s just doing everything well. Moving the ball well, hitting shots, pressure defense is causing TOs and disrupting Ft Erie, but they’re not overplaying for steals so they’re staying in position and allowing few open shots. And Ft Erie is missing everything, which helps.

I stopped watching after Sharma was 0-5, and 0-4 from three. Maybe I’m bad luck. Hope he gets a second wind.

#10 on fort erie is atrocious. Killed all the momentum on their run to get back in it. They’re missing Christian Nitu who has several power 5 d1 offers.
Akuentok has looked solid this game. 5 straight points to close the gap a little.

Also, the “FC doubles Sharma above the 3p line, he passes to an open Akuentok at the FT line, who looks forlornly at the bucket being so far away, and then turns it over trying to pass it to someone heavily guarded in the post” play worked out really poorly for them. I’d have thought Akuentok could make something happen from there.

This reminds me of when I finally caved and bought access to an underarmour stream to watch Isaac Traudt only for him to get dominated by Braedon Huff and score like 4 pts. And last year when I tuned in to watch STAB play PVI in their title game and Mallory missed like 10 shots in a row trying to save his team.
Edit: at least this makes more sense as 2nd game of the day, etc. etc. A lot of back iron.

2nd game of being gassed + poor shooting game + the other team straight up scheming to focus on you (and that Barca team high level. Several kids on NBA radars and what not/not some random US high school with the tallest kid being 6’3).
We’re not recruiting him to be the face of the program. We’re recruiting him to fill a 3pt specialist role.

To be fair even Kon had some stinkers. A stinker the first aau weekend he played and then a game where he got shut down (vs Rakease Pasasmore and Derrion Reid).
Still takes me back to Tony offering Brice Sensabaugh after watching him go 0-10 from 3.
