Im just of the mentality of with Bliss Cofie and Robinson already locked up, if we get Adrien Stevens and London Jemison idrgaf who else is on the roster we are rolling LOL.
I still think itās a pretty nobrainer decision. We have 13 scholarships. Need guys who can buy in with those 8 to 13th spots. A top 5 3pt shooter is a good one to throw a scholly to. And it doesnāt really dissuade anyone else unless Sharma pans out which is then still a win.
If heās woldo itās a win. If heās taine then itās still a win because it means no future recruit will care as a hurdle and weāll still have a high character guy hanging around the lockerroom who could be usefull at a time or two.

Heās got good size, the jump shot looks really good (even if heās not hitting today), and his handle is serviceable. I think I can see it. The total lack of explosive athleticism and not having much scoring beyond shooting the three is also noticeable too though.
To me his theoretical upside is like Kirkland brand Joe Harris and his floor is something like Woldo. But I also donāt know what Iām talking about.

I also just want to throw in, still conflicted about Chance Mallory. Watching him the other day did nothing to alleviate the defensive concerns. But man he is an incredible talent offensively and so damn fun to watch and so dynamic. Not even the 3pt shooting but the skills and the pump fakes and the vision. Really can change the game in a heart beat offensively. But then the thoughts of Roach/RJ Davis cooking when Reece had to guard Caleb Love/Proctor and vice versa creep up. Hmmmmm
Like literally a better version of Nijel Pack (also lmao at espn listing him at 6ft).

Itās funny - I was literally going to say that Ft Erie looks jet lagged in that game - and then realized that was their 2nd game in the same day after a transatlantic flight. Barca got every 50/50 ball - all of them.
I guess we should be concerned that any day the Hoos play twice - donāt play Sharma the 2nd game?
0-12 FG and 4 turnovers and his teammates especially the guards were a hot mess.
By the way Iāll take Barcas #32 as our next combo guard please. Dudes a stud.

Hmmmm I like Taine, but itās tough to just ignore someone who is on your roster and is in their 3rd/4th year of college and you donāt give them āanyā playing time without feeling guilty. Point being, that someone more talented may be behind Sharma that we will have to āmanageā their minutes.
With that said- I hope/believe that Sharma will be pretty good!

Was he locked in and still getting beat? Thatās the time I get concerned in high school or AAU play. Lack of focus or not knowing how to play hard every possession is just being a high schooler. Heck, I watched Reece look like a turnstile defensively several times his final AAU summer and senior year of high school
