šŸ› Introduction for new member (Hav's Playground)

I get that….some puzzles can feel way too easy. Maybe trying out harder or more complex ones could make it more fun and less boring. Do you usually go for logic puzzles or something else?

Welcome back Rajesh. Hasn’t been the same without you here…..

It’s Christmas in August!

Ho ho ho….guess who’s back just in time for ā€œChristmas in Augustā€?

Thanks Chris for the warm welcome, it feels great to return. Looks like I need to catch up on all the gifts (threads) I’ve missed here!

Not sure where to ask this but does anyone have any details about UVAs recruitment of David Robinson and Lawrence Taylor? In-state seemingly attainable kids that became HoFers. Would have certainly changed the fortunes of the respective programs at UVA.

Rajesh did LRA give you a good NIL deal to come back home?

David Robinson was 5’9ā€ early in HS, quit basketball after Freshman year, grew to 6’4ā€ as a senior, tried out for varsity and made it. He wasn’t recruited by anyone and got into the USNA as a regular student. Maybe he applied to UVA on his own, but given that his dad was in the Navy, USNA was probably his first choice.

Kihei asked what’s wrong with 5’9ā€.

At the time there was much speculation that sophomore David Robinson, who had suddenly growth-spurted up to 6-11 after enrolling at the Naval Academy at 6-6—which I believe was then the maximum for submarine duty—would transfer to UVa, thereby evading his obligation to serve in the military. Didn’t happen. He stuck around for two more years at Navy. which meant that he would have to spend a couple of years with the naval reserve before joining the Spurs as the #1 pick.

He wore the number 50, after his idol, Ralph Sampson, and retired after winning an NBA ring alongside Tim Duncan in 2003.

If LRA offered me an NIL deal, I’d probably ask for lifetime coffee refills and unlimited Wi-Fi. Nahhh….just missed the gang and had to make my comeback.

Rajesh- have you done any good puzzles lately? I have a huge one about 25% done- doing it with my kids. It’s Star Wars themed (Luke/Darth/Lando/Leia/Obi-Wan, etc) and it’s awesome! Will be done in roughly 7 days - I think.

Have any good ones that you have completed lately?

That Star Wars puzzle sounds amazing, especially doing it with your kids, that must make it even more fun.

I haven’t done any puzzles lately, but I’ve been spending a lot of time on chess, and every now and then I jump into a game of Dota 2. Maybe I should pick up a puzzle next, you’re making it sound tempting!

Never saw this turn of events coming @chavlicek15

What is Dota #2? Sounds incredible. I am ready to move on from the puzzles.

I will reach out about this development but also research it. My guess is version #2 is superior to version #1? Is that accurate? Should I start on Dota #1?

Thanks in advance for your guidance.

When I saw this thread active again, I was certain that @ekandado had struck again, but nope. She/he/it bumped a different thread.

Its come to my attention that the fantasy football league I’ve been a part of for nearly 20 years has come to a conclusion. It was the last team I was a part of. Now I need a new one. Anyone with a lead let a dragon know
