It was definitely a big deal. I prefer the football, but it was summer and I got into it the best I could because the EPL was done.

Apparently thereās a plan to renovate the baseball stadium at GMU to make it cricket compatible so itāll be the home field of the DC Major League Cricket franchise. Before reading about this as part of a community development hearing, Iād never even heard of Major League Cricket. I guess there is quite a large South Asian population in this area that could be the foundation of a possible fanbase.

We need a professional league in order to petition the International Cricket Council (ICC) to become a Full Member and authorized Test Cricket nationā¦ currently we are only an associate member allowed to play One Day Internationals (ODIs) & 20/20 cricket on an International scale.
The joke about a cricket match taking 5-daysā¦ well the US is not authorized to play in those 5-day matches currently.

Years ago we shared a rugby pitch with that or another version of that club out st Rosecroft Raceway. It was the only place large enough to fit them

Would be nice if they had some sort of sponsoring opportunity for like 500. Like a brick on a path or wall. Price of entry right now is 10 grand for a locker.

Actually a great idea. Could do something like $1,000 gets you listed on a plaque on the wall similar to the donors wall in JPJ. No clue what the price of admission to that one was but a lower price point to celebrate all donors would be cool.
