Braxton Key played PG in AAU lol I like Coffie but he does not have Braxton’s guard skills. He has a good handle for a big man

I’m extremely high on Cofie. Did a deep dive on his film a few weeks ago and was stunned. Mike Scott 2.0.

Is Garfield Brandon Roy’s team? The one where the UConn kid went? Who are the Seattle hoos? @Playgroundhoo ?

Brandon Roy went to Garfield (a Seattle public school) and is coach there now. Garfield has 16 state basketball championships and 8 runners-ups. Three times the girls and boys have been state champions the same year. The Garfield Jazz band has won Essentially Ellington at the Lincoln Center 4 times and has performed at Montreaux. Quincy Jones, Macklemore, Ernestine Anderson and Jimi Hendrix also went to Garfield.
Both my kids graduated from Garfield.

Has anyone pulled off the unlikely double of being a member of the state championship basketball team and the championship jazz band?

I knew a guy who was on our state semifinal soccer team and state jazz band (sax). He wasn’t a starter for the soccer team though.

Just ran into/met Jacob and his parents at Burton’s Grill. Super nice guy and super nice family, who are in town from WA. Was a cool and unexpected encounter!

I’m wondering if a hand/wrist issue is impacting him. His play has really fallen off and seems to coincide with the tape job he’s had for last few weeks.
