May well be a lot of broken hearts here in a few months. Pulling for a marriage made in heaven.
For me it’s a bonus - not a heart break sitch. I suspect most of us feel the same.
I mean next year if we roll out:
Bliss, Isaac, Rohde, Dunn, Buchanan
And then Gertrude and Robinson and Bond and Taine???
Take that all day!
And by the way you heard it here first. I suspect Robinson can play the 4 starting next year if Dunn leaves.
I’ve seen several of these marriages where the bride leaves at the altar. We are left heartbroken
Why kont you people just listen to HGN?
i dont expect to land him but i hate Duke landing him.
Yeah expectations getting over inflated again.
True story. Shared the bathroom of the Charlotte Gentlemen’s Club with Geiger and Tony? Campbell back in the day when they played on the Hornets.
Define “shared”
Geiger great dude
Seeing all the new offers come in for Trent Perry, it’s getting obvious that was a very winnable recruitment. Which was what UVA folks believed. They seemed to think they would have gotten him if not Bliss.
Love that we got Bliss, think he fits in as a PG like a glove under TB. But damn I’d be lying if I didn’t say I REALLY wanted to see Perry in a UVA jersey. Wish there was a world where we could’ve got them both, TB loves his 2-3 PG lineups and I think they would’ve paired up very nicely together in a backcourt if it all worked out.
Looks like the last VIP thread disappeared (and all the other ones locked)
Evan Flood lists UVA as a school interested in this kid. Wisconsin also increasing contact. Already has offers from Georgia Tech, TCU, and Arizona State.
Redshirt and stash? Staff feel more confident in Robinson as an immediate impact guy/Buchanan playing the 4?
edit: Mac Irvin aau. Sooooo probably nothing
No idea if he is someone that caught Tony’s eye while watching Kon.
On the buckyville board someone noted Tony was at a few Mac Irvin games in between killing time
That might be too many centers in that short of a span of time, or maybe just too many guys of a similar archetype. To that point, will the staff even be looking at 2025 centers seriously?
I think what makes this kid possibly enticing is that
- A lot of tweets refer to him as “Raw” which translates to “Redshirt” is Wisconsin speak.
- Was the peach jam leading blocker. And is incredibly mobile/a LOT of upside.
I think it’s one of those where it’s just maybe too good to pass up on possibly. And you take him and develop him and how the cards fall with the rest of the roster, you live with it.
Ron Sanchez gets a brief shout out.
Agree with “used to be” Murray State. Also they cheated their asses off so…
Interesting. Sanchez and “Liberty.” Maybe something to our talent scouting being top notch for 2014 - 2019 then dipping …
Mike Young is also mentioned in that article. Which is fine. Mike, in his own way, can identify talented players. I got in an exchange yesterday with a Hokie fan who said, “The results speak for themselves. Mike Young consistently turns under- and unranked prospects into pros.” Which I thought was adorable, if not slightly overstated.
