Yeah Iām going to wait to get more information before I just take the word of the random Wisconsin poster on a random board.
He doesnāt have to guard starters ā¦ he does fine guarding back up 2ās and 3ās.

If itās Duke I will officially/finally have given up hope on getting any kid that OVās Duke unless they start losing and their NBA pipeline dries up in the next couple of years.
Weāre not going to be in a better situation than this one.

Where Iāll be as well. Iāve been pretty positive we would eventually win out based on all the close relationships. As you said, if it aināt Kon, we arent beating them for anyone ever

If itās duke, Iād like to think I could count on JPJ REALLY letting TJ and Kon have it when they visit over the next few years, but itāll never happen. Bottom bowl blue hairs wonāt even know we recruited them.

If we want anyone, ANYONE, and they offer, theyāll get em.
Kennard was a fantastic HS player and I believe ranked similarly to Kon. Kon would be the better shooter by far though.
Yeah my concern is that-
- Kon and players like him have an EQUALLY good relationship to all coaches similar to TB
- Kon and players like him can play in any type of system whether itās fast or slower
- Kon and players like him get along with all of the players on any team as he would with UVa players
Then what is our differentiator moving forward?
We SHOULD have the better coaching- atleast the most experienced and highly regarded (Oats hasnāt won anything and Scheyer is still changing his diapers), yet it doesnāt seem to matter to these 5-starsā¦hopefully Kon sees through this.

Iāve been wondering the same thing - my guess is their pitch is some version of āDuke is the best basketball program in the country, and weāve put the most players in the NBA. You come here and you get to play with the best players and get the most exposure all of which helps your draft stock. We take care of you financially with our NIL package, etc.ā
