Wait, where in that statement did Hubert decline the NIT? Iām not doubting that they did, Iāve seen the bracket, itās justā¦ as statements go I think he kind of failed to actually say the main point.

Clemson is a 1 seed (vs Morehead State Weds @ 7)
VT is unseeded (vs 4-seed Cincinnati Weds @ 9)

I hope VT wins 1 game (an ACC team needs to be somewhat respectable) and then crashes and burns.

I think the NCAA expansion killed whatever pride there was in the NIT. Itās like a month long who-cares dot com bowl game. But they should play in it for the same reason teams go to those bowl games, to get the extra time in.
