That French U18 team had some likely first-rounders in Nolan Traore and Noa Essengue, so not surprising he had more of a bench role there.
I feel like its gotta be hard to recruit guys with a pulse for the 12-15 spots on the roster (assuming thats where he fits in) and I think he’s above replacement level for that

Assuming the U18 European Championships, French U21 League, and the Next Gen Tournament were all using the same FIBA 3PT line (basically the same as the NCAA line), he was 38.9% from 3 on 126 attempts across those environments.
Watched his tape in the other thread from FIBA. Will be in trouble if he sees anything but mop up minutes.
His three point shots in the video were basically shots you’d see in warm up. No one within. 6 feet of him and ton of time to collect/slow shooting motion.
Idk maybe a good recruitment tool to have him around or maybe he gets in the lab and becomes something useful.

Maybe after like two more years of work in the weight room he might be an interesting piece. At the very least he might give us a little change of pace option for a few minutes here and there. We’re going to be subbing way more guys in going forward. Being able to periodically drop a few threes during a two minute stretch while the other team is still going “Wait, who the hell is that guy? Do we need to cover him out the three point line?” has some value.
I don’t speak French, but I’ve heard Carrere’s nickname is homme statistique.
