We are about to enter politics territory but I will leave this as a good read. A good rule of thumb is that the solution is never as easy or simple as it seems (unless it is of course⌠but thatâs a whole other story)
Those are interesting facts. Let me be clear thoughâŚI did not say anything about illegal immigrants being the primary mules for the fentanyl. But it is primarily made by China and smuggled across the border. Thatâs all.
The broader point is that the government should be spending our tax dollars there to reduce the supply. BUT, they can likely do both: decrease supply and raise awareness to potentially reduce demand, both of which save lives.
Bottom line is I donât think it is a bad partnership, if it is legal. I am not a lawyer so no clue; probably not.
I really didnât want to introduce politics into this (I know NIL is inherently political âŚ) â just thought it was funny that the DOJ was dropping bags.
I apologize. I worked on the Supreme Court case that settled this issue, so I have strong opinions regarding government involvement in NIL. BUT, I should not have gone on to make a political argument. I certainly donât want to chase anyone off with politics.
This makes sense (pretty close to pay for play) but it is super annoying that one of the first crackdowns is on one of the most fun parts of NIL (or at least fun for those of us who like college hoops because we like watching college hoops).
You heard it here first (maybe last too) ! Reece Beekman and Kymora Johnson fall in love sharing a Big Mac, french fries, and an oh so good chocolate milk shake. Reece canât force himself to be away from her next year so he stays for one more and leads us to another natty.
So McDonaldâs has signed one more UVa basketball player in the past 100 hours than Coach Bennett has signed McDonaldâs All-Americans in the past 13 years?
Sometimes when reading these pieces I think about the research that shows that when you ask college students to report much alcohol they drink and also estimate how much they think others drink, they consistently overestimate how much others drink.
