Kyle guy with 5 first half points. Looks like he is getting some run tonight
Well Joe had a good night until the final few seconds. 30 points on a career high 8 3’s but his turnover at the end led to the Westbrook game winner.
Lord…did his ankle just blow up or something…what is going on…guess his defense is not up to snuff to get on the court…
Even when Hunter isn’t playing, the Hawks still show him love
Paywall but Jay Huff comes in at #58
Some good minutes for KG this afternoon, including part of an early 4th quarter run that took the lead in a Sacramento victory.
And on a less positive note:
This is weird but fairly certain I had that exact procedure two years ago. Good news is it’s nbd
Ouch that’s too bad, he was cooking, that’s a long time out.
Wow. It went from a non-surgical procedure, to something minor to now 2.5 months out
Yea well once they cut on the meniscus you could almost guarantee it was going to be a 8 week break. I’ve had both mine worked on and while he’ll be up and moving right away, 8-9 weeks makes sense to be able to play
Agree. If he needed to be back say for playoffs he could push it into 2 weeks or so but no reason to here. I have no clue how bad the tear is etc so no reason to speculate but I remember years ago Kenny Smith returning in maybe a week at UNC
Yup, last time I had mine done I was up and walking that day and that was with a torn PCL. He could be good in a week maybe 2 if he had to be, but the right thing is take that time work on building some stability back. Plus it’s an overuse issue, so the more rest he can get the better.
Read an interview with an orthopedic surgeon yesterday. He said not to be surprised if this was the outcome, and actually it would be better for Dre long term to have the more extensive surgery than a minor procedure. Said studies show shorter careers with the debridment surgery, better long term outcomes with a complete repair, which sounds like it is the case based on this recovery timeline.
Yeah he may as well get the full procedure done to avoid future issues. And atleast this way the truly magnificent Cam Reddish can prove he should’ve been the #4 pick all along .
I’m not really slighting him, but more so the ATL fanbase who *didn’t appreciate the proven winner Dre’ getting picked at 4.
I suspect much of that fanbase has changed its mind now
