Worried uc San Diego wonât be able to handle michigans bigs.
Olenâs bunch run really good stuff but are super unathletic and small. They have an elite steal artist and a great wing at creating his own shot.

Why is he guaranteed to have both?
I shouldnât say garaunteed. But heâs about to get a power 4 job.
Fun fact for the Money Stuff newsletter readers among us: Mitch Mascari on Drake got tempted away from starting his job at First Trust, which made it into the newsletter recently for its lavish tactics for selling ETFs to financial advisers.
This is a guy whoâs on the precipice of winning a 2nd game vs a sec school with d2 talent.
Playing with fire with the missed free throws. Mizzou bailing them out.
He can definitely coach. But that doesnât mean he can recruit. Really tough to sell top 100 kids on a slow tempo
We will see. I suspect as long as the press doesnât deride you for it every time you take the court, it wonât matter. Lots of slow teams recruit well. Uva, referred to as bad for basketball by all sorts of press figures, was a different animal.
We were called bad for basketball because we played slowly. It wasnât some nefarious cabal. Every top 100 player talks about how they like to play fast. Maybe it wonât matter. But thereâs strong evidence it will hamper him. Especially if he doesnât go somewhere with great NIL
UConn is slow. Purdue is slow. Houston is slow.
But we were bad for basketball.
We donât need to litigate it here. But i firmly believe we had a pr issue more than a pace issue.
UC San Diego opening with a wild ass trap / match up zone thing
Houston is a one seed this year with the 360th tempo. Tennessee is a two seed with the 346th tempo.
Can we put this exhausting over-hashed argument to bed PLEASE.
I guess an 11-seed can beat a more talented 6-seed after all.
Yes once you agree that our problem with recruiting was our pace. Not some weird vendetta from sports journalists
BYU would have smoked Drake but you keep up your anti-Odom crusade
I do wonder McCollum will try to build his next team. Heâs done things his way with importing his D2 team to Drake rather than getting âbetterâ players. What will he do at the next stop? Jay Wright used to talk about how he got kinda tripped up by it being easier to get âbetterâ players after they made the Final Four in 2008-09; he had to reset a little and eventually figured out how to balance talent and fit better.
Houston has the #2 recruiting class next year playing at the 360th tempo. Plenty of good high school players seem to be fine with it. And I never said anything about sports journalists.
My guy if you want to really tell me pace doesnât matter to recruits Iâll happily point you in the direction of 100 interviews where recruits say they want to play in a system where they can run up and down the court. But you didnât want to rehash this tired argument
âŚthe Triton mascot is King Triton from the Little Mermaid?
kP had VCU 31 and BYU 24. It had Drake 59 and Mizzou 15. But youâre too obtuse to realize VCU shit the bed and Drake did not.
