šŸ€ NCAA Tournament Men's Basketball - Outside UVa Thread

Idk how you could watch the Michigan State-UCLA game and think Michigan State will win it all.

I thought the crown had conference tie ins and ACC wasn’t one of them. Ah well, nevertheless…

I’d just really like there to be one tourney that’s not the NCAA and I’d like the teams that just missed to play in it. I’m even fine if they don’t particularly care! I just want them to play and lose and then we can make fun of them. Seems fair.

I only trust Warren Buffet’s insurance actuaries to make that calculation and price the insurance coverage for a billion dollar payout for a perfect bracket.

Would be insane to be making high 6/low 7 figures and be dealing for the love of the game so I assume he’s just throwing a lot of parties but geez man. 1 ounce shy of a mandatory 3 year prison sentence (America’s criminal justice system yay)

One of the charges was that he didn’t have a tax stamp on it. Heh…

IRS doesn’t care what you do as long as you pay the tax on it lmao

Here’s more on the law, from Tuscaloosa News.
Interesting, but really raises more questions than it answers…

Lmao

The law, passed in 1988, requires any individual who sells drugs to pay a tax and affix a stamp to the product. If convicted, authorities can collect fines from dealers, who are unlikely to have complied with the little-known law.

The stamps, which read ā€œSay no to drugsā€ and ā€œSay no to marijuana,ā€ are administered by the Alabama Department of Revenue.

I can’t believe the ā€œFill this out if you want to sell some drugs, no we’re definitely not gonna tell the copsā€ application isn’t more popular!

When purchasing stamps, revenue department employees don’t ask buyers for a reason, nor can the public employees reveal facts contained in an application. Unless the criminal charge is related to the tax stamp itself, information collected can’t be used against a dealer in a criminal proceeding.

If you remember the NYPD killing of Eric Garner back in 2014, the reason they were trying to arrest him was that he was suspected of selling cigarettes without a tax stamp on them.

If I remember correctly, multiple Law and Order episodes back in the day had plots that revolved around those cigarette tax stamps.

You talking to police when they all about putting the silver bracelets on you? Damn! Did your dad not watch the Wire? SMDH.

The Wire season 1 starring Academy Award winner Michael B. Jordan should be mandatory viewing for the youths of our nation. I mean, we should make all the youths watch the whole series, but use Jordan’s name recognition right now.

Shout out to Xfinity for their X1 cable box/remote. It lets you speak the channel you want. Best way to find TruTV this time of year.

First tourney win ever for Howard. Just knocked off UMBC in the first of the first four games to go on to play Michigan Thursday.

I guess these 16-seed play-in games are great for giving teams their first tourney win ever.

Thank you Howard for avenging us

Vitale and Barkley paired up to broadcast this NC State - Texas game. Almost as good as when Bill Walton dined alone.
