On Minnesota radio the other day, a caller said he ran into TB in Hawaii and TB said he doesnât miss coaching at all. Caller said he looked like he was joyful and at peace with his decision. So from the sounds of it, youâre correct!

Also inherited a few key cogs from Kelsey including CAA preseason player of the year. Saw Bill & Mary take them out the other night on national TV. He can bugger. Also heâs supposedly a dickhead. No thanks.

For the record, Iâm not bought in on Carlisle (not that he or anyone else should give a damn).
It sounds GREAT on paper, but I feel like the road is long and paved with NBA guys who were alums who didnât work (ahem Mike Woodson). No doubt Carlisle has a much much better track record as a coach
than Ewing, Howard, Isiah Thomas, Mullin, - different sport, but Al Groh. I also donât think Belichick will work out at UNC - but looking forward to watching his GF in the crowd 
Itâs not that Carlisle doesnât know how to coach - or build a roster for that matter. But itâs like when when you have an old dog and then bring home a puppy. The old dog just looks at you like âwhat is this sh**?!â

Also the kids may be getting paid, but I think college recruiting is closer to AAU than the NBA where you have multi-year contracts, collective bargaining, and generally much professionalized (Jimmy Butler not withstanding).
Todayâs roster building is more like AAU where players are hopping rosters every season, making all kinds of side deals with all kinds of people, and generally anything goes. If Iâm an NBA coach that sounds horrible.
