The distance thing HGN mentioned but also he’s a really great fit for their system. Pope just wants shooters and bets he can teach them to be contributors in their system. iMac is a great fit for that. He’ll also know iMac has been coached and cares about defense.
Plus why would you play at WVU if Kentucky wants you?

Seems to be a free flowing offense that Im sure others are more informed on in terms of the specific action they run.

Looks like some pretty faithfully traditional Princeton actions (split cuts, back cutting, etc) mixed with some straightforward spread ball screens where Lee is asked to make a play and their shooters provide a lot of space.

Better historical program, yes. But DeVries is a better coach than Pope. And I bet Kevin Pittsnogle is more a hero to him than a one-year Kentucky rental like Devin Booker.

Saw this tweet and I’m now onboard with hiring either Ritchie McKay, Pitino the Younger, or the Northern Iowa coach and bringing Leon home.

I’m interested to see what the Miami job does to the fold. It seems like more high quality jobs means more competition but at the same time, if the right movement occurs it can lead to better options.
Especially looking at all the movement this past summer.

Question: Would be people be more supportive of a Ryan Odom hire if he brought along Griff Aldrich as an assistant? They’re very tight, and VCU/Longwood fans in Trilly’s discord today were suggesting that Odom would be very likely to at least try to bring Griff onboard to Cville.

I think I’d generally be fine with the Odom hire regardless, but I mean if he can bring Aldrich along with him then yeah that’s definitely a plus. Griff is a great coach, but also someone I think VCU would have high on their target list to replace Odom if he left.
