Really any player coming to UVA or most anywhere is going to have some deficiency physically or in skill. If a guy’s super short he needs to excel in some other area to get us a net positive when he’s on the court. It’s pretty clear Mallory has phenomenal quickness and good skill to make him a plus player. But there will be times, as with Kihei, when an opposing player and team will be able to take advantage of his height. As long he gets us more than he gives up, we’ll be good.

I imagine that’s all under 1 big ESPN budget line so may be difficult to pull off. I hadn’t heard Suzy Kolber was out as well. Knew several 7 figure earners were on their way out.

Man, espn sucks balls. Ellis was only the best MBB commentator they had. Hope he finds work calling games somewhere else. Enjoyed any game he called. Yet another reason to hate that network.
