Their covers are straight fire and that Jackson
5 one is great
I see you and raise.
Great take on modern country Margo Price is a star.
And if you want to kick it up a bit on the same label but a very different sound the Death Weather are one of my favs. Allison Mosshart is a juggernaut.
I’m really in to recruiting songs lately
Back a little further - the Load Out, Jackson Browne U-Hall c. 1978 (my 4th year)
Pivoting - top 50 all time C&W:
Any go-go heads out there?
Cant talk go-go and not mention the Godfather of DC go-go
Cool. Takin it back just a little bit
Now moving it forward
I saw Parliament in 03 or 04 still the wildest show I’ve ever been to. Watched a guy in a diaper play the triangle for like 3 hrs.
But building on the funk sound one of my all time favorites
I want to normalize early 2000s songs in the nostalgia thread. Most of our basketball team wasn’t alive when this song came out.
Ughh that makes me sad in multiple levels. 1) the current team is generally too young to know the song. 2) you chose Hoobastank as your example of early 2k music worth normalizing. If your next poat invilves Nikelback or Staind I’m having @DFresh11 lock you out of the board
This is literally Hoobastank’s only song as far as Im concerned.
Now THEY are an actually good band.
The best!!!
Gap Band
Mic drop
Cannot love this one enough. First concert I went to was the Bosstones.
For me a great example of a cover being better than the original.
