My least favorite recruit is LJ. He screwed us over. This class could be nasty with potentially him and Buchanan on board. Then we’d just be going for Power and an off ball guard(presumably/hopefully wrapping up Gertrude).
Power and LJ would be debatably the best recruits in the Bennett era.
This also goes back to be careful with these kids interviews. Green could not have been more glowing of UVA in the rivals interview (yes I know it was before the X visit) but reading that you’d be shocked that he wouldn’t visit. Also surprised that he’s not getting a little more family pressure to at least explore options closer to home
I don’t disagree that Isaac M. may be a combo for us, but for that to work for '23 we need Armaan back which I’m not convinced will happen if he has a good season for us in '22, and I expect him to have a good season for us. And even then we have zero options if one of Reece or Isaac gets hurt to back up the PG spot. The safer scenario is for Isaac M to be projected as the shooting guard (using traditional position language which is a mess in itself) and be a 3rd option at PG.
With no '23 point guard, you have Reece with Isaac M. backing him up and you pray Armaan comes back. That could work but everyone has to stay healthy. Then do you have to bring in 2 point guards in '24? Someone has to back up the '24 guy who will have to start at PG on day one.
We don’t have to have a “great” '23 PG recruit, but someone who can come in for 5 - 10 minutes a game and not be lost.

When I see Kansas State, NC State, Iowa State, Cal State Prison, and Virginia on a recruit’s list, I immediately think we ain’t getting him.
Chase Coleman should be able to spell Reece for the 3-5 minutes per hame if we strike out on 2023 PGs. Obviously not the idea scenario but wouldn’t be as bad as our 2/3 situation last year.
I really think it’s more likely they have Mckneely do that.
If Reece is injured at anypoint in his career at UVA then our program is dead anyways.
To clarify I meant in the above scenario where Isaac gets hurt and Armaan doesn’t come back. Chase could spell Reece a few minutes a night in that case.

i doubt they they are informed by anyone associated with uva but i’m sure they and those around them following recruiting closely and know who ctb is interested in
