AKA the real season begins.
Christmas in March.
Can’t wait for the late summer leaks that fitzhugh von vanderputz, transfer from MIT-Ohio, is looking like an nba prospect, only to discover later that’s only because everybody else on the team is really really bad

Thanks for the Chance blurb:
It’s a bit of an unusual situation with UVA not yet having a coach in place. Maybe that will change before then. Despite that, the Hoos still have an excellent shot at keeping the four-star point guard at home. I believe that is the preference, Completely dependent on the coaching hire, however. It’s very possible the hire will be known, even if privately, before it’s made official–something to keep in mind.
Committing to an (officially for now) coach-less UVA team would be so amazing and I hope he does it. Talk about playing for the name on the front of the shirt, eh?
If you thought we were bad this year, wait for next year….
He has.
Never has college basketball been easier to engineer a quick turnaround. Louisville won 15 more games in the ACC this year. It won’t necessarily happen, but if we hire a good coach, we will be considerably better next year.
Agreed, but I’m not convinced that Odom has the ability to reload quickly, more of a slow program build.
Quite the opposite, he’s been able to use the portal effectively. We will see though
Tell me you’ve done no research on the coach without telling me
Ben Humdinger catching subtle strays, damn.
Bringing in VCU level talent is different than bringing in top ACC level talent. I guess we’ll see.
Hearing there was an email to the dept out just now…Sanchez won’t be retained as coach.
Spare us. Dusty May and Mark Byington took over in much more difficult conferences and Pat Kelsey took over a 3 win ACC team and turned it into an 18 win team. It certainly can be done, whether it will…who knows? But the sky is falling act is boring.
Right move, still a sad day. End of an era
I thought that dude was gonna be a shot creating big wing with a little sauce to his game but instead he’s a low-usage 3pt specialist at Illinois. Ah well.
I won’t commit to us being good next year, too many variables, but I’ll fully commit to a pretty good Odom year 2. He’s done that everywhere.
