In my day, best Italian meal in Cville was the breadsticks at the Treehouse
I wouldnt know. @chavlicek15 always spent my Treehouse money in first week of school
Itza Pizza at the Treehouse just hit differentā¦
The tree House was awarded a Michelin Star in 1991. Was tough to beat for grease content and proximity to the dorms.
Tavola is exactly what I had in mind. First place we went out to after Covid.
Yeah Tavola is the best, but challenging with 8 unless you do some advance planning.
Iāve made this rec before, but Dairy Market is a good āsomething for everyoneā approach since itās a food hall and has beer there too. And Moo Thru is there for the kiddos. Though Little Manila closed their stand there, which makes me sad.
This reminds me that I also need to figure out where to eat before the Morgan State game LOL
Iām leaning towards one of the Barracks Road options⦠since it is before a game w/ 4 kids.
Peter Changās used to be my Barracks Road spot, but I havenāt enjoyed it as much the last couple of times. Switched over to Cafe 88 for my Chinese ( actually Taiwanese I think) food go-to, which is a charming family-run spot that would be horrible to bring 8 to haha.
One time one of my roommates drove to the Treehouse to get breadsticks and got a parking ticket in the less than 5 minutes he ran in to get them. Called them the most expensive breadsticks ever.
Yeah, we used to love Peter Changās as well, but weāve eaten there once in the last five years. I feel like itās a shadow of its former self.
If youāre ever in Nova, head to Mama Chang in my hood in Fairfax City.
Peterās daughter (who I think is a Virginia alum, but not positive on that) manages this location and if Peterās cooking anywhere, itāll be this location. The rare days heās there, man the food is so good.
The beef noodle soup at Cafe 88 is insanely good
kids⦠was gonna say we should meet up but miss me with that going kidless for the night ![]()
Wave at me from across the arena! ![]()
What seats are you in?
Haha will do
No clue where our seats are. But weāll be up in there.
Cool⦠text me on WhatsApp and Iāll come over and say hi without kids.
Haha will do. We donāt actually mind the kids. Just not often we get our without them. Pays to have the grandparents near for a change
So Iāve heard recently that Continental Divide has fallen off. Can anyone confirm?
So⦠is this really happening?
