Arena is about as modern as the Colosseum but when that place is filled up there arenāt a ton of atmospheres better. The court is super fun to play on, I got to play there in high school ina summer tournament. We did not practice falling off but we did get beat by future Badger Kammron Taylor, future UTEP Miner Kevin Henderson and 2 of their Minneapolis North teammates. The first half was 4 on 4 and we were down 20, the second half we played 5 on 4ā¦ and lost the game by 20ā¦ they were good! To be fair they won the big school state championship that season, and we were an above average medium sized school.

Plenty of folks got riled up and took shots about Daveās defense of PER by listing NBA leaders. Honestly, I donāt take issue with any of that and recognize that virtually any metric (as an abstraction of goodness/badness/meh-ness)is limited in its utility. Maybe there are others that are better, but thatās not what bothers me.
More than anything, the Elmarko v RoDog v Blue comps just feels unfair and unproductive. Staff pursued all of them in good faith. I believe weād have accepted Elmarkoās commitment on the spot. I think the same is true for Blue but am fuzzy on the tick-tock. Even if it had been conditional, and Rohde had been the preferred target, so what? Recruiting misses happenā¦and itās still too early to write him off in my book.
Sour grapes sharpshooting just feels uncharitable to the staff and our players. I think both deserve better honestly.

No ā hereās a tautology for you ā their defense looks bad because their defense is bad, and when they are forced into a defense dominated game more often than not they lose; that is the achilleas heel of Kentucky. I am not sure why you feel the need to dispute that fact unless it is to manipulate it into a criticism of UVA. There is literally no similarity between anything UVA and Kentuckyās inability to play in the half court on defense.
Again, I find Kentucky a very entertaining team to watch when they play fast and spread the floor, but that doesnāt cloud my vision regarding their defensive liabilities. If they donāt solve this issue they will not be a Final Four team.
