I dislike Nova’s offense as much as one can dislike an offense with technically good spacing. They have so many 0- or 1-pass possessions, they don’t really move, cut, or screen off the ball except for nominal movements to maintain spacing. It’s all lightly dressed up isos and ball screens.
I guess we just run a more elaborate offense with similar results.
Though they’ve cut the deficit to 10, so maybe it was too soon to make jokes at their expense.
Also, KSU needs to cut that out and just get peacefully torched.
Dixon is good. Though Kalkbrenner just posterized two dudes at the same time.
He is, whoever Creighton switches on to Dixon looks mismatched. Despite the posterizer, Kalkbrenner has just looked slow and not all that effective in the few minutes that I watched.
Jays starting to turn the screws some. They are getting a lot of open looks and stranding Nova in midrange hell on the other side of the floor.
We really need to join the B1G so we can get FOX/CBS broadcasts so that I can forget that ESPN and Jay Bilas exist
Eric Dixon: Virginia Cavalier
I jinxed it
Mark Armstrong heard @Hooandtrue trying to give his role on the team away to Elmarko.
Kansas pulling a UVA
USC with so many clutch free throws to pull out the win vs. Miss. St. - must be nice.
Tennessee has 18 points in 17 minutes at home against what’s been a pretty terrible Kentucky defense. Are they #badforbasketball or does that not fit the narrative?
Nah, they’re an SEC team - ESPN is too to take potshots at their
But one of their players now has 19. Wow Knecht
2nd game in a row the sec commentators are like “Vanderbilt just needs to feed ven lubin”. 11 pts 6 rebounds in the first half and put Handlogten (florida 7 fter) in foul trouble.
Do feel for Lubin though. 6’8 forward and he’s their only established front court player. Kinda like Dunn early season (replace Buchanan with Carter Lang ooof). Has had to face numerous 6’10+ duo front courts by himself.
Might be because they then score 14 in the next six minutes and only down by three
Hmm, down double digits in the 2nd half and Tennessee starts pushing the ball up the court and pressuring the ball to generate turnovers. It’s like they think that they need to score a bunch of points quickly.
