Ya, the game is amazingly fun to watch; thatâs why I hate coaches detracting from that by imposing their personalities on the game. Just note how much time FOX spends fixing their cameras on Hurley and Pitino. Heck of a game though.
I wish some of UConnâs offense would rub off on us.
One thing Iâve noticed is that talented Ohio State freshman Scotty Middleton didnât play much under Chris Holtmann, and the team was really struggling, and now he plays a lot under Jake Diebler and the team is playing well and Scotty is drawing one of Illinoisâs better defenders. I wonder what conclusion the OSU fans drew from the fact that Middleton wasnât playing and the team was struggling?**
(Middleton also has the distinction of being the last guy to cover RD when he was seen playing effective offense.)
** to be fair, it was probably something like - âgrunt grunt grunt ugh urgh football BURPâ
Lol. So the power conferences whine their way to more guaranteed NIT bids at the expense of mid-major conferences who actually want them, but they wonât use them?
Kentucky just canât play defense.
Can we fast forward to two weeks from now when Kentucky gets bounced in the first round and BBN starts calling for Calipariâs head? Might actually stick this time if they lose that early again
Watching Big West tournament. Not sure which Iâm enjoying moreâŚwatching an uncaged McKoy brick 3 after 3 with horrendous form, or the idiot announcers insisting on pronouncing it huh-vie-hee.
My mom tells me I take this all too seriously, and that it is just basketball. Something tells me she doesnât quite understand LRA fans. ![]()
But if there is one consolation for me â and I realize it makes no difference to anyone else â I do have my other alma mater to root for: San Diego State playing New Mexico for the Mountain West championship today, and they are well into the field.
It doesnât hold the same significance for me, but it is better than having nothing to care about. Go Aztecs!
But my focus is 99% on following the games that affect us.
I realize everyone is obsessing over the bubble â and understandably so â but interesting game between Wisconsin and PurdueâŚvery tight, but still first half. Wouldnât be a good statement for Purdue to get bounced in the semifinal of the Big Ten tournament.
If youâre going to the win the title after getting upset by a 16, thatâs one of the steps in the process
#TrustTheProcess
Right. They are locked in a battle with about 7 minutes left.
I honestly donât think Purdue is built for March. The skilled big man-centric offense is very beatable by a team with really good guards, imo. I do not think Purdue âpulls a Virginiaâ this season, but weâll see.
They have the guards this year to be variable in how they win.
The way they ref Edey is infuriating
Eh. They sure are having difficulty with Wisconsin, so what is going to happen if they play a team like UConn?
I donât see it, but it will be interesting.
Wisconsin wins!
Edit: the blueprint is out on Purdue. Time for them to rest up for next week.
Purdue loses in the conference tournament semis the year after losing to a 16 seed, national championship incoming
Heartbreaking loss for Purdue. Probably best for them in the scheme of things though
Edey lost the tip in OT to a backup. Not a dawg. Fade them.
I do enjoy the CBS in-game crew, probably cause of NCAAT associations.
