Preseason Top 25
Prediction. We finish in the 10-14 range in the final poll, and a 3 seed.
They left someone out. The #15 Aggies will show them the error of their ways.

The funny part is that Wofford’s leading scorer from last season transferred to South Carolina…
I guess I’m now the Boulder office!?
Tony’s inner thoughts
Also from carousing the Wisconsin boards:
That Jacobsen 7fter is indeed commiting to Purdue. Trilly pulled his Wisconsin prediction too.
Also that Kon was offered $2 million by Duke (no idea if straight NIL or projection based on brand exposure and what not). Apparently Scheyer got desperate after Harper trended away. It’s more than the entire Wisconsin team gets apparently (Their NIL offer was $700k which Ive seen mentioned on both their forums that I know of/Wisconsin staff apparently thought it was enough to hold off UVA before Duke went all in).
These NIL numbers really do feel all made up and I do want to see in retrospect how much the kids actually make vs promised.
Spalding vs IUPUI at 11 am and Hofstra tips off at 11:30! Georgia vs Oregon at 4:30 first real game, sadly.
More MPG this year:
DeMary started their exhibition game alongside their Niagara transfer Thomasson.
I really liked DeMary and thought he would have been a good fit. But I like Bliss better so everything worked out.
I’m watching the IUPUI-Spalding half-time show. On the one hand, that’s a bit sad. On the other hand, it’s kind of fun! NCAA’s HQ is apparently literally next door to IUPUI so they’re interviewing a lady from NCAA about some of their education initiatives while the Pacer’s mascot does trampoline dunks. Hoops is back!
Edit - Its a “grenade” when you use up the shot clock and them dump it off to someone else with almost no time left, right? One IUPUI guy got the ball with 6-7 left on the shot clock and tried a few moves none of which worked. With just over a second left he passed off to a teammate who caught the ball almost exactly as time expired. If looks could maim, the passer would have left the floor in a basket.
Send the mascot next door to the NCAA and get working on some of those waiver that are still not yet decided. Can’t do worse…
NCAA couldn’t decide on all the waivers because they were busy creating the most bizarre graphic of all time:
But it was worth it for this reply:
Once again, my plea to Matt Painter: please, sir, please, please, I beg you. Stop hurting my family.
Is starting Kaufman-Renn over Furst (and to a lesser extent, Gillis) overthinking it? Furst was pretty good last season, Kaufman-Renn’s numbers were kinda meh, with the caveat that he played a lot of his minutes without Edey.
