No one on their team is a strong 3pt shooter/their guard play is heavily dependent on that chucker with the headband. Do have a few talented freshmen who might play better as the season goes on but none of them are strong 3pt shooting reputation either. Like a rugged/more athletic version of Louisville with a better coach. A year I truly wish we could match up with them.
Redshirting Gehrig Normand when he likely is the best shooter on the team already has turned out to be a terrible decision so far.
If Berman thinks Weber St is the 25th best team in the country, then it’s not controversial. But who knows what Berman or any other AP voter thinks they’re supposed to be doing. (Sorry, it’s Haney complains about the incoherent AP poll szn)
Forgot about him. Beat Texas and Wisconsin for the kid.
I used to work for AP. You can put aside your conspiracy theories. The answer is much simpler. Many of the AP voters are sportswriters who are so overworked covering their own teams that they can pay only superficial attention to everything else. They’re ranking teams based on what they’ve heard and what they’ve read and a quick glance at the past week’s scores.
I’m sorry, you must be mistaken. I’ve been led to believe that Virginia is the only program dumb enough to still redshirt players.
Yeah, my theory is like the opposite of a conspiracy theory. It’s that nobody thinks about this thing at all (to the extent they do, it’s narrative based)
If all AP voters were required to spend 4/5 hours a day reading Locker Room Access posts they would have the info they need to make intelligent decisions when they vote each week.
Everyone has shoes so I’m not sure why what Imelda Marcos did is so crazy. (please don’t make me break my “don’t post about redshirts" vow so early
)
Michigan vs. St. Johns just tipped off on FS1. Should be a fun game.
Martelli
That is the question. No one knows what rankings are to be seen as. (Or maybe everyone knows, but they don’t all know the same thing.)
And it’s in no one’s interest to clarify the purpose. That’s as far as my conspiracy goes.
Nimari Burnett (Michigan)
Terrance Shannon Jr (Illinois)
Kevin McCullar Jr (Kansas)
Dont know how Texas Tech fans must be feeling.
Wow! Not much defense being played in the Michigan/St. John’s game, but it is fun to watch. Rick Pitino is a drama queen on the sideline. Very demonstrative, but I guess he is part of the show!
Villanova down 6 to Penn with 9 minutes left.
Freshman Tyler Perkins for Penn popping off with 13 points. DC kid that Williford had on his radar as maybe an under the radar kid? Or maybe he was just friends with the kid’s dad idk.
What Im saying is: Portal and then redshirt?
Edit: Lorton, VA listed as hometown
At the Palestra
EDIT: Just realized that was a guy from Nova on the dunk, commentator made it sound like it was Perkins. Not sure why that confused me though considering Nova is wearing dark blue lmao.
Still though, Perkins is having a nice game.
