Everything Iāve heard, including some things that trickled out from other coaching staffs, is that it was only UVA and Duke at the end with Kon. I think people might be reading too much into him saying afterwards that he thought for a long time heād go to Marquette. I think thatās trueā¦but that long time ended somewhere around spring time when he started looking at things differently.
If itās possible another school was in the picture it was Wisconsin. He took about half the money to go to Duke than he would have gotten there.
All that saidā¦None of that matters much when a recruit decommits later. Things always look different later, and everybodyās situation will have changed. No guarantee any of the original schools would come out on top.
