Trying to cover transfer season at some of these schools is a tough balancing act. Thatās the over the edge version above haha
Itās easy to get lost in the bubble of super fans who just wanna know everything (whether hard truth or rumor), and forget that shining a light on some of the things happening is toxic to probably 80% of CBB fans. Itās like selling the golden goose for a silver coin.
Kansas probably spent more money on getting Hunter Dickinson than Alcorn Stateās entire athletic budget but yeah no more snacks on the hotel bed totally evens out the playing field.
Feels like itās Kon or Evans that needs to start looking at the transfer portal. 2 bigs isnāt common anymore but when itās those guys and one can stretch the floor, seems like you have to play the bigs.
Foster
Flagg
Evans
Ngongba
Maluach
If Mark Mitchell needs a home, I know a place up north from Durham he would be welcomed
I recently saw that heās recovering well and Friday is when the doctor will give a timeline. As a high school basketball fan would love it if he was healthy in time for Geico Nationals (rebranded to Chipotle Nationals which just sounds silly) so Montverde has some resistance but probably wonāt be healthy in time.
But feels like the following would happen to make room for 6 scholarship guys. If someone from the gone list stays, probably see transfer risks head out if they wonāt be a part of the 10/11 man rosters most schools are starting to see because of the portal (throw the last 2 scholarships to redshirts or walk-ons).
Gone:
Kyle Filipowski
Ryan Young
Jared McCain
Jeremy Roach
Tyrese Proctor
Staying:
Schutt - Transfer risk
Caleb Foster
TJ Power - Transfer risk
Jaylen Blakes
Christian Reeves - Transfer risk
Mark Mitchell
Sean Stewart
Roach and McCain could be backā¦. I think theyāre expecting McCain back per their board. Is Proctor on my draft boards? Heās doo doo honestly, poor manās Reece.
Itās hard to imagine McCain coming back with the season heās having and this being the worst draft class that I can remember (in terms of excitement and expectation). He could ball out next year and be in a worse situation with 2025 draft class.
Very true. I donāt see them losing all 3⦠Roach, McCain and Proctor. Roach seems like the vet that could lead them to the championship. Proctor still needs work on his game.
