Outside UVa Recruiting

True but I knock Slater 100% for his style of preempting recruits’ announcements. Plus I want to throw a little meaningless support to one of our few 247 lifelines.

Yeah Slater is kind of an ass. 247 has Bossi as well, he knows he’s stuff

Enjoy throwing oops to Tyler Nickel, I guess.

I didn’t know players overtly talked about being a one and done… I thought others did for them, but the players themselves didn’t…

One out of two ain’t bad.

Wrong thread

So what happens if/when one-and-done, lottery pick don’t sync up with what’s needed to give the team the best chance to win?

Cole Anthony put up big numbers and got picked high, but UNC was a hot mess as a team that year.

I mean I think it’s worked out for Anthony

“Oh, and also I don’t want to have to do my own homework.”

I don’t have a problem with it. The kid wants to win a natty and get to the league. Like basically every young kid that plays basketball :man_shrugging:t2:

I mostly have a problem with him picking UNC, whatever his rationale, but slightly better than Duke, I guess.

Don’t there have to be real classes for there to be homework? #academicfraud

The point is that it didn’t work out for UNC the one year that he was there. They were terrible.

If that’s the point I’m not sure what is in dispute or what it really adds to the conversation

Because he’s talking about what the Player wants vs. what UNC needs. I don’t know why you don’t get how simple that is.

Yeah I mean I get it and I don’t get the issue. He’s not getting a salary. Go get that bag. Change your family’s future

No one said it’s an “issue”, it’s that the Cole Anthony experience didn’t work out the way that he wanted it to. UNC weren’t good and they didn’t win a Championship. Anthony did get drafted in the first round (but not as high as in his pre-season ranking), and as a result has had to prove and develop in the league.
The poster that you originally responded to which began this discussion and myself commenting on it, is what “adds to the conversation”. If you don’t understand it, then you can fully ignore and not engage vs. trying to monitor what people talk about. If that’s the case then you can stay on the VIP side.
