This comment from a villanova fan on their board LOL
“Will become the norm in college sports. That’s why this is dangerous year for Nova. Over-reliance on seniors at the expense of the freshmen. Just don’t get the Arch loyalty”
“Can’t blame him but I am very disappointed. He looks fluid, has a decent handle, good shot…he is the kind of kid pre portal, that would develop into a good player in year3/4”
Davidson twitter accounts are all over the Brizzi news.
This might have been Deandre Hunter if the transfer rules back then had been what they are now. A redshirt year, then the first part of the next year you’re still barely seeing the court. I get it.
Yeah their board is talking about their covid year recruiting class is a bust/how important it is for coach to see in person the player before offering
Brizzi: transferred out (controversy as to whether he was better than young arch and just loyalty to veteran player. Brizzi has a huge following on their board/they really hate the veterans playing over the young guys LOL. sounds familiar)
Patterson: Grew from 6’6 to 6’10. Never adjusted to his new height and doesn’t know what to do now.
Their slow center: Nova embracing more small ball so really doesn’t have a role. Maybe he finds one with Dixon gone.
Jordan Longino: the only solid contributor from that class
I can never tell from the discussion whether it is better to ignore incoming freshmen because the portal will give you a better value, or whether play your freshman huge minutes in hopes that they don’t enter the portal and produce huge value elsewhere. All I know is that Virginia really sucks at both.
Kentucky Duke and UNC have all had some one and dones off the top of my head. Sure some of the other teams that have won it have also had one and dones.
