Can’t wait to see a bunch of Jesse Edwards clean coal TV ads.
All the embeds work fine for me. Click and opens the link in Twitter…
Edwards is interesting in that his box score stats are really good, but Cuse played better when he wasn’t on the court. He put up a great block rate but opponents also shot 60% at the rim with him on the court.
Where did you get that stat? Is there somewhere that shows each player’s shot chart? Or stats at-rim vs 2-pt vs 3-pt?
I assume @AdventiveQuasar got it from hoop-explorer.com. You can do lots of cool on/off queries there.
Yeah there. @haney got me addicted to it.
FYI, the 60% number is with him on the court, not necessarily with him as closest defender.
Have posted this previously in this thread but there are wrinkles in Edwards’ NIL situation given that he’s on an F-1 student visa (he’s from the Netherlands I believe) and there are a lot of restrictions on how international students can earn income in the US. It can be done, but a school or its donors/collectives need to be committed to putting in the legwork to use the loopholes (such as running the deals through an intermediary in the player’s home country).
Yeah, I haven’t read the articles yet, but I wonder if the gist of Edwards’s NIL thoughts is that Cuse didn’t want to put in the legwork to prioritize his NIL situation. (E.g., seems like Cal really prioritized Tshiebwe’s NIL situation in choosing their overseas trip and pretty much letting Oscar do his own thing for a few days).
Hopefully this situation ends up biting Miami in the ass.
Shared that yesterday in the NIL thread:
Decent pickup for Pitino, but I really thought he’d have made more of a splash by now. Does he have a shot at Cormac McCarthy?

The dude who wrote No Country for Old Men?
Yup - really think it’s important for college hoops teams to add at least one great American novelist.
Duh - Cormac Ryan… sorry.
I think Syracuse decided it was no country for old men when they fired Boeheim.
Yes! Serious surprise commit!!
I hear Cormac Ryan plays his best games on the road
Averaged 12 points on 11 shots per game. He will fit right in!
I always think of Arizona State as the NC State of the Pac-12… the clear little brother to a far more successful in-state flagship conference rival (UNC and Zona, respectively).
Herb Sendek certainly has a type
