Agree with this. Though I think they were hoping Jones would use his connections with all the WCAC schools and the DMV in general to bolster Tech’s recruiting presence in the area. If they don’t land Rice, I’m not sure what that would say about Jones’ ability to lure kids from the DMV to Tech. Each recruitment is unique and Rice might be strongly considering Tech because of his strong respect for Jones, but he may feel like Tech is not the right fit for him for whatever reasons. Other DMV kids might be better fits at Tech and Jones should help with identifying those kids and making connections with them.

Seeing Bobi Klintman’s Maryland pics on IG, can’t help but feel a little bad for him. Easy to say in hindsight, but he should have jumped all over his UVA offer when he had the chance. Overseas kids don’t understand how the recruiting game works Hope for him he goes to Rutgers instead of banking on Turg.

Turgeon is like the anti-development coach. His highly ranked guys who leave seem to be the exact same players they were when they arrived. I hope Klintman elects to go almost anywhere else.

So should every other kid lucky enough to get one. Not that I want to put you out of a job HGN but I dream of a world where Tony can basically point at a kid and the kid instantly gushes “where do I sign, handsome coach Bennett?”

Cincinnati getting a good one tomorrow. I remember he and Ryan Dunn were the two guys Tony checked out on the last weekend of AAU and Tony went with Dunn who he thinks may have the higher ceiling. But Skillings is good too, Bossi says he thinks he could end up being a top 50 talent and he was solid at the top 100 camp Traudt and McKneely were at.
A lot of Angst on the Pitt and NC State boards lol. He was a top target for NC State and the back up plan for Pitt when they missed on Ryan Dunn. Definitely not going to VT/I doubt Mike Young even remembers who this kid is keeping track with like 20 ongoing recruitments. Wes Miller + Cincinatti Big 12 = 4 stars.

Kid is a stud. So nice to be done with 22 recruiting and just getting to sit back and see these recruitments unfold that have no real baring on us.

I’m torn in these ACC recruitments. You really have to follow closely to pull for ACC schools to get just enough talent for the conference to be really good but not as good as us. As much as I like being atop the ACC, I hate the ACC’s gradual decline toward a second-rate conference. In all sports.
It’s like putting together a fantasy team that you want to finish in second place.
