I wish. My son goes to Valley High School in West Des Moines. Their logo is a big orange V. When I wear my old-school UVA hat (“V” with no sabres) I hear a lot of “Go Tigers!”. It hurts me deep but I smile and wave through the pain.

It changes when you get further away from uptown. Still plenty of Hoos out here in the burbs though.
Also Hokies way more likely to have lots of gobbler bling on their vehicles–Hoos often have a license plate frame or something less obvious like that.
But the area is crawling with Buckeyes for some reason…

Lots of cold weather folks come to NC … we call em halfbacks … they move to Florida and can’t take the heat and humidity and come halfway back and end up in NC.
