Weak ass moon game. Another punchable piece of dookie
He looks like a guy that McKneely is gonna own in a couple years.
I wish I would’ve been better at hoops so I could’ve had an edit of me with another smaller version of me where the bigger version of me appears to be giving the smaller version of me a nice back rub. All with a giant novelty moon in the background.
Duke is a very self selected group. Which is good. For them and for the rest of the world, I think.
Gonna have to save that clip and revisit if duke shoud go on a losing streak in the near future.
2023 Top 25 recruit Mackenzie Mgbako is on an official to Duke and is rumored to pop soon (lot of smoke) and he’s close with Caleb Foster/he even commented “Brotherhood” on Foster’s top 8 post (vomiting in my mouth just typing that). Pretty sure Duke is going to carry this momentum into a Foster visit to Duke in which he commits on the visit. Im ready to see us line up the next pg prospect. Also they are back in the race with 2022 5 star Mark Mitchell who was thought to be headed to UCLA, 2022 Dereck Lively is now a slight Duke lean over Kentucky, and JJ Starling who was thought to be local Syracuse bound is growing more on Duke.
What im saying is that anyone expecting a step back at Duke in terms of talent will be disappointed. It’s going to be on steroids with NIL. But Jon Scheyer coaching deficiencies and also Duke’s potential athletic department collapse with a new administration who doesn’t care about sports along with conference realignment could make things go 100-0 real quick. Like 0 being what UConn is.
Joey Baker 2.0
Big Weekend for VT BBall… what are the odds they land all three visitors?
Probably low, but they have a great shot at Nickel and Rice
I think they need to snag Nickel this weekend. If it drags out I think UNC would make too much sense even though they’ve slow played him
I think VT may get Nickels regardless. He knows that he’s UNC’s last option, and even if they get to that point, he probably won’t play much his first two years while he’s developing and then Davis will recruit over him. I do agree that if his recruitment goes past October, that’s probably bad for VT because it means that he really doesn’t want to go there.
He has a visit to Unc on 09/10. If he makes that visit, it’s a 50/50 g big style at least. Tech needs to lock him down this weekend
Since it’s quiet on UVA’s end might as well keep posting: UNC fans noticed Whitmore unfollowed the UNC players he was following and then scheduled his Villanova official two weeks after it was supposed to happen, outside the UNC time frame (the anti-Traudt lol). There was a growing smoke that Nova was the favorite since he took his unofficial there in June.
UNC fans are at the “it’s okay small forward was a want anyways, get a portal 5 and this is a solid class” stage of coping lol. I have receipts about how they absolutely wanted him and said he was a game changer. Like 50 threads on it lol
Really widening the net here.

I have several family members who went to UNC, and they are getting less and less optimistic about Davis’ recruiting. Mostly, I think it’s because Scheyer is knocking it out of the park for Duke in 2022, and Davis only has maybe a double so far. Davis hasn’t shown whether he can coach or develop players yet, so UNC fans would prefer the no assembly required players that Scheyer is pulling in.
I have no idea whether Scheyer or Davis will turn out to be the better coach in the long run. Right now, Scheyer is riding inside the huge wake that Coach K is leaving behind, and, unfortunately for Davis, Williams slowed down a lot his last couple of years and there is less momentum there. But at some point, both Scheyer and Davis are going to have to rely on their own coaching ability, and I may have a little more confidence in Davis than Scheyer.
I hope you’re right about this…Although dooks preparation for Scheyer seems to have been pretty much a plug and play- atleast with regards to recruiting. I also wonder if Roach K will be available to help coach “in the background” once he retires, or otherwise create some great dook support system for Scheyer.
He’s going to stick around. One of their 2022’s said that was what sold him on Duke. That K still be around the basketball facilities and he’ll still get to learn from K.
Yeah both Roy Williams and Coach K will still have offices at their respective facilities. Kinda like how a person retires but after a while the whole retirement thing becomes stale and so they “consult” to keep active.
Already know I’ll be asked 100 times over his college years how UVA let Tyler Nickel get away. Well, we got Igor and Traudt instead…

Seems overrated anyways. I’ll predict a Nolte type of career for him, maybe a little better
And Bond rather than Taylor?
