(But unsarcastically that would be a solid recruiting class if it was Tony’s first year at UVA to rebuild from bottom of the acc to middle of the pack/purgatory. Not sure it could meet the high standards Tony has set as being at the top 4 of the ACC)

UNC insider confirming the above that Zion Cruz wanted to go to Auburn but they denied him because of transcript issues. Will be interesting if he does end up at UNC.

I thought Hurley did a decent job at Buffalo, then I saw his ASU team get worked by Dakota Mathias era Purdue at MSG in the Jimmy V.
But that’s not the bad part. That stuff happens. The bad part is that he told the press that the way his team played was a disgrace to Jimmy V’s memory.
C’mon. Who invented this guy? Oh right, Coach K. And probably his Dad, too.

Yeah I didn’t believe it either at first. Would be a SUPER bad look if Zion Cruz couldn’t be academically eligible at Auburn but is at UNC. Surprised he isn’t g league bound to be honest.

He’s one of those kids who has transferred between like 2-3 different basketball academies so that might be the issue.
Yeah Cruz was at Hudson Catholic (NJ) a couple years ago, then Oak Hill, then back to The Patrick School (NJ). Something about Jersey kids, they move around a lot.

Interesting that Colin Smith is now getting some buzz to Arizona State as well. Was on the same aau team as Nunez but a stud/he was one of my original favorite targets in 2022 but I get why we passed with going all in on Traudt.
We got a great package with the two Issac’s and bond. I played nickel snd worked out with him. Very elite player but not a UVA type player. Best of luck to him but I will take those guys over him any day! GO HOOS!
