I do think thereâs going to be enough creation. That doesnât always have to be iso ball (but between Hall, White - and then thinking one of Mallory or Gertrude could be capable) - I think we do have ability to do that.
BYU often called on Hall to create something in those situations.
NDST often called on White to do so.
Mallory has the range to pull his defender far away from the basket and then get by him.
Gertrude, assuming heâs kept his explosiveness, showed flashes of that his Freshman season.
But it doesnât just have to be perimeter oriented. All of GrĂźnloh, De Ridder, and Tillis can exploit a mismatch inside with the ball in their hands.
I think there are enough different and quality options that you should always have a place that you can turn.
Even more so, there are so many quality shooters on the roster - should be at least four at any given time - that it makes the one-on-one advantages greater because if help comes, youâre going to have a quality look for a player the opposing team doesnât want to have one.
Thatâs going to make it a lot easier for all of those guys to operate, too.
Someone like Thomas brings it all together - but, no, I donât think you need him to have a very effective offense (maybe you do for the more extreme ceiling possibilities).

Completely agree with this. I think weâre all coming out of the trauma of last season with limited downhill creators. That has overlaps with a âbucket getterâ but can be different in some ways.
Really donât think either the downhill creation aspect or bucket getting aspect are going to be major issues for all the reasons you mentioned. But love high volume, efficient scorers no matter what.

VT supposedly getting a visit from Neoklis Avdalas. Odd to me how he would land there if heâs as highly thought of as they say he is. Unless they got a big extra donation to throw his way
Makes 0 sense that bigger players arenât all over him given how slim the pickings are in the portal at this point. Canât think of anything other than a connection we donât know about or secret donation because what can they sell him on? Theyâre broke with a mediocre roster
