Just watched some Grünloh tape. He’s good. And it’s nice to see Jayden again. BBL seems like a better league than the ACC, and he’s playing well and very productive. Not a super athlete, but decent shot blocker, it seems, and runs the floor well. Seems like we can mix and match him, Tillis, and Ugo in the frontcourt (if the latter two sign). Still not clear what playing small would look like, unless you think Lewis can play the 4, which seems like a stretch (no pun intended).
So we are on draft entry watch? 11:59 pm eastern, tonight…

So the men’s basketball portal closed 4/22, do we even know how many bigs we are trying to sign? We should know the slotting now. Also at this point, any failure generally means sliding on quality of targets as no new portal entrants going forward.
I’ve been hanging around since the wave of early commitments just to see who is the first Center we get. In my mind, this will show our level and ability to compete. Been crazy as initially just wanted a PG and Center and a few great shooters and then no worry. Rest would just add to the basics . Still waiting on a Center and even if no Center transfer to the point Just want any big transfer .

Seems like two guys who can play minutes at the 5, one of whom can play some 4, and at least one more combo forward who can play 4.
So 3 guys total, maybe 4 guys depending on the positional versatility within the first 3 we land.

Probably a couple of days away. Last season deadline was April 27th, NBA released the list on May 1. So maybe Wednesday?

Saw one guy on X implying a connection between UVA and Denis Badalau (Romanian in the Italian league). I see 0 else online even implying the guy is looking to play college basketball. Is this just random dude online being random dude online? Or is there something?
Arman Jovic (PDT Scoutting) said UVA was in to see him recently and there is some talk of it in the VIP thread.
