What does the meal plan look like?

Maybe someone we could show interest in for that development wing spot.

So Harmon. What do we know? Also - this snazzy new UI here on LRA.

6’6 205 (good size) slightly more assists than TOs 2.5 to 2 but too many TOs. 35% from 3 on 7.5 attempts (HIGH VOLUME). Shot 39% in conference play. 52% from 2, 81% from the FT line. Kid has range. He passes it well and has good vision. Need to cut down on the TOs. He is a senior (played 2 years of JUCO where he shot 3pt’s above 40%). Hopefully he is a good defender. I think he will shoot on a bit less 3pt volume and we can reduce his tough shots a bit and he can shoot high 30s from 3. I like the pick up.

My one concern is that we dont have guys (neither pick up nor Sam Lewis) that can get in the lane but we will be able to shoot it just as well if not better next year.

curious if chance develops into more of a penetrator. he clearly likes to take it to the rack but was often rejected. but i feel like he was much better than say kihei.

Actually, I thought that Lewis was pretty decent at taking the ball to the basket. That said, I also thought he was very selective in choosing his opportunities to do so.

Elijah

Yeah, not super explosive, but great body control. He would sometimes pull up in the lane, others drive straight to the hoop, or change direction with a Euro. That said, as you said he was selective, and most of the time it was off of a faked three pointer, then driving if he had a clear lane.

…and finish?

Uh, yeah. Have you not seen Elijah do his thing at the rim?

As much as I wanted to see it, I have yet to see it against ACC comp.

That was the Nc state game

Yeah but he shoots so poorly better teams will sag off of him and it’ll be 4 on 5 on O. His D was no better than Jacari and Malik who were average defenders.

So, there aren’t any excellent guards who can’t shoot?

When they sag off of him he blows by them. It’s just a lazy take to suggest guards whose game doesn’t rely on 3-pt shooting can’t be great.

Before the pick up of Harmon, Torvik had a procection of 55% minutes, 105 ORtg, and 18 Usage for Gertrude. That’s rosier than my projection, but certainly possible.

Harmon seems just ok–depth we need, but not needle-moving. I’d love for us to pick up a stud or two more to go with the big four and make this team a national championship threat.

Where are those studs coming from? Maaaaybe there’s one coming, but I wouldn’t expect more than that. I think Dixon and Harmon are this season’s Malik and Jacari.

Brazil? Argentina? Venezuela? Australia? Any of a dozen Euro countries? I dunno, but there are a lot of basketball players around the world under 24 yo who could be very good in the college game, and I know I have never heard of any of them.

Haha did you watch Malik not play defense?

a lot of basketball players under 24 who could be a stud at a high major college next season and also arent (1) going to the NBA and (2) arent already committed to another school? no, I dont think so.

we’ll be lucky to pick up one stud. two is just not plausible. also think youre underselling Harmon. very, very solid player to have (probably) off the bench and imo a great fit for the roster.
