Yes, it tells us that Papi wants to play for the national team, and that Tony is willing to give him that opportunity because it’s important and helpful to Papi, and Tony cares about what is important and helpful to his players.
What it tells us beyond that, I don’t know, and I don’t care, because I don’t particularly feel the need to argue everything to death. If Papi’s playing time is going to increase or decrease, we’ll know it soon enough.
Sounds more like you get to do it, and I get to complain about it, and then you get to complain about my complaining. Because I guess it’s important to always get in the last word.
For the record, I wasn’t referring to you specifically. If you want to take it personally, God bless you. Like they say, a bit dog howls.
I guess I have just never heard of or remember something similar to missing a college game in season to go play for your national team. Very well could be mountaining of the mole hill by me. But still seems strange if not telling
National team basketball during this part of the year is a recent-ish innovation. It’s why you’ll see the USA play World Cup qualifier games with G-League and free agent players, because they are happening during the NBA regular season.
And you’re doing exactly what you’re accusing the rest of us as doing. I have no idea the “why” and I’ve previously stated I don’t think Papi has a huge role heading into the season, but very simply I do not blame Papi for wanting to play for his country and I think it is smart of Tony to let him. My opinion, that’s all.
What Creighton does and Farabello does is up to them and I really don’t give a shit.
