I was thinking a strategy of rage and personal affront but yes, these are all good ideas too.

‘23-‘24 looks like a really favorable ACC schedule if things stay relatively in the same balance of power.

UNC (home), FSU and Duke only once. No Carrier Dome or long Miami flight.

It is a mortal lock that the @BC game will be during their exam break and that we will find ourselves in an utter dogfight against their shit team

I was thinking of throwing a few dollars on the ground near the UNC bench and hope that they all hurt themselves in a dog pile trying to grab the bills, but then I realized the NIL “agents” and UNC Office of NIL Facilitation would be there first and only about 54 cents of every dollar would be returned to the players. As a second thought, although it won’t help in an actual in game situation (where other people suggesting actual strategy and tactics probably have useful basketball ideas), Armando might want to legally change his name to “Bacon” - the NIL possibilities (not to mention the irony of being a hog) bogle the imagination.

The trick to containing Bacot is finding a ref that will call fouls on him. He’s duke-like in his ability to foul with impunity.

They are known as “Carolina Refs” for a reason.

Traudt practicing against full court pressure = can’t wait to see pg Traudt

Okay so they posted that clip at 2:50. Let’s assume practice is 2-4. That means I only have to be constantly refreshing for the next 40 minutes looking for more clips. After that I’ll be productive. Ok good plan let’s do it

NBA guys don’t miss open shots. College guys generally can’t punish a Bacot the same way.

I’ll take Traudt or Igor or BVP all day at the arc one on one with Bacot. And if the Heels switch - it will be Bacot trying to guard McKneely or Reece out there.

So you’re counting on one of those guys to hit 60% from 3 to equal Bacot’s 90% from 2?

Bacot has shot 56% from the field (28/50) and 50% (9/18) from the FT line with 4 assists and 7 turnovers in 5 games against UVA.
So he’s finished 69 possessions producing 74 points for his team - a 1.07 points per possession pace.

If Bacot is guarding either of the Isaac’s at the arc I could easily see them hit 44-50% from 3 on those wide open attempts … and if he gets up on them - he gets in foul trouble…it also means he expends a ton more energy on defense … something he did none of guarding (not actually guarding) Sheds and Papi last year.
Even at 44% on those wide open threes - UVA would be producing 1.32 points per possession … and playing Bacot right off the floor.
My philosophy is not to try to match up with someone else’s strength. You match up by playing your strengths …

I think this is the important part. UNC would also hide Manek on Kadin to protect Manek/we weren’t really forcing that match up. Let Bacot use his size to make Jayden’s life difficult since he wasn’t shooting out at the perimeter.

Bacot’s being guarded by a legit big rim protector with those stats. Huff and Shedrick mostly. You think 22-23 experienced Bacot’s making less than 90% against a freshman Traudt or an undersized Vander Plas?

Yes. play defense like you are on offense. I love this
