I can say with all honesty if one of the main 3 schools isn’t included, I hope it’s Villanova. Duke fans are smug but the Nova fans are getting to that level. Saw last night one of the people pushing the Keels to Nova done deal talk said someone told him putting Keels in UVa’s offense is like driving a Ferrari in NYC traffic. You would think they would remember what Perrantes and Brogdon did to them in the JPJ. That offense is similar to what TK would play in.
Regardless of where the kid ends up, he’s gonna thrive.

Great video and separate article. I really liked your approach on Keels with the blueblood/blue collar segmentation. I have nothing to add on that one, but fingers are crossed.
On Kaufman, this strangely takes me back way too long to fraternity rush. You can laugh, I know.
But seriously - you had the kids come in that went to your high school, knew a bunch of guys already, felt like a done deal both ways, and then they went somewhere else to chart their own path. I always respected that.
I get that feeling with Kaufman for some reason given what you said about Indiana and how well he knows the program already. So hopefully he’s really looking to chart his own path.

Yes it is. What’s your thoughts here? Could it be that we didn’t want Keels announcement to take away from Murray’s and / or vice versa? For each to get their day in the sun, irregardless of destination?
Keels, Kaufman, Murray all making announcements (lists, commits) in the space of few days. Things are hotting up.

Makes you wonder about the 3D comment from HGN’s regarding our staff’s management of their recruiting efforts.
Now the Maryland insider who rarely gets anything correct (But due to covering all his bases, will necessarily get something right this time) does a 180 and says it’s between UVa and UMd. Calls his source “impeccable.”
It’s funny to see the evolution in UMd fans from all-out despising and dismissing us until very recently to coveting Murray as much as any recruit I can recall, but worrying that he plays like the prototypical UVa b-ball player, whom has already been in the program for a year or two.
One thing that hasn’t changed is they hate their coach. Several years back a Terp fan appropriately named his reign on the program as “Turgatory.”

The one thing the Maryland 247 people have been right about is how complicated Taine’s recruitment is. They claimed there are possible admissions issues with Stanford. I don’t know if that’s exactly right but there’s definitely some sort of hitch, maybe just involving other recruits. And obviously we have our potential Keels hurdle. Maryland is pretty much his last resort fall back option if the other doors are closed (Stanford) or deemed unacceptable (UVA).
From what I heard last week, there’s not much of a feel for whether Keels would matter. They’re up front with him that could happen but it’s not really discussed. Either he doesn’t mind or just doesn’t let on that he does.

I could definitely see Keels and Murray complimenting each other. However, the inn will be filling up. How will that affect Bunch, Taylor, and McNeeley? I would take these two and then re-evaluate!

They just put one up a bit ago, it’s basically everybody likes there chances, but everyone fears Stanford, but his best source says UVA and Maryland but he doesn’t think it will be Maryland but nobody has real good sources because it’s an international recruitment…I kid you not
