Safe bet is Hopkins goes to Kentucky but looks like Indiana is at least in the picture. Would help considerably with Kaufman if he’d go that route.

Maryland – LOL!

I found this tweet from a Terp fan earlier today. Who knew that Turge had such a great reputation with international prospects …

When they say “I’m hearing” or “my sources” they mean “I read on another forum and came to the conclusion of”

Saw that too. Considered joining the thread but decided to chuckle mildly with myself and I.

HGN, I read somewhere than Kaufman was analyzing the construction of rosters also. I can’t help but feel this could be in our favor. It seems, Indiana would probably utilize him more as a true 4 due to limited options with size whereas, we have been seeing him more as a combo 3-4. How do you see this?

Yeah I think you’re on it, sort of. He’s a pure 4 here but TB sees him offensively as that skilled guy that can cause mismatches the way Hunter did, being able to pull his man away from the basket. Whereas with Indiana he’s a 4 and small ball 5. If you examine their roster they have a couple jumbo wings like Jordan Geronimo that will definitely play some 4 and the only true big in 3 classes is his AAU teammate who needs some time. So Trey’s gonna play some center there. Different visions for sure.

On the flip side, they don’t have many bodies. So he will be playing right away. No guarantee of that here.

This is where Deandre getting drafted highly really helps. Tony can show success with the type of combo forward that is in the highest demand in the NBA right now. There’s a reason you often see his name pop up with a lot of these recruits

But 100% (10/10) for 2021 !!! Let’s speak it into being !!!

He seems like the level-headed, analytical type prospect that may appreciate better long-term development over immediate gratification. Let’s hope so, anyway. If we could just get a visit where he could meet our players. I think that would help.

I agree! That’s where I was going with my question because they have showed him video of Hunter to illustrate how he may be utilized. It’s obvious, CTB and staff could better prepare him for the NBA. Unless he continues to grow, playing the 5 at his height will not aid in his development.

2nd guy now picking us. 100% this year. 97.7% all time. Now that sounds much better

That’s 247s international guy. Far more credible than the Maryland mod

Miller has been very good about keeping instate talent as such. Hoping TB can flip the script on him with Kaufman though, he’s different from the crowd from what I gather

Getting Murray tonight is huge. Already makes this class a massive success with Murphy. Irrespective of what happens with Keels or Kauffman

It shows the staff has more juice on the trail than ever. Even with not having much playing time to sell, they’re going to end up with Murphy, Murray(most likely), and possibly Keels or Kaufman. In past years, this class would have been a major struggle, especially with TB being restricted in identifying sleepers at live tournaments.

I’m seeing that hope for Murray has gone to near certainty in short order. Is it the 247 international guy putting in the crystal ball for us? Or something else?
